1.       Beginning Wednesday, January 14th6-8 PM, I’ll be teaching an Intermediate/Advanced tying class for TROUT Flies at our usual location.

a.       There will be 5 class sessions, running on consecutive weeks with the exception of Feburary 5 session which is a Thursday (session ends Feb. 11th)

b.      Class size will be limited to 6 people. All signups must be done through the GSF website at Trout Fly Tying

c.       Classes will be geared toward more experienced tyers. You should have some experience tying a variety of nymph, streamer, wet, and dry flies. We will plan on doing 2-3 flies each session, depending on the complexity of the patterns you choose. My goal is to move at a more rapid pace than we have in past years.

d.      Your cost for the class will be $20.00/person. This cost is to cover the materials used in the class. Practice materials are not provided. Note that I will be encouraging you to do “homework”, as it will immediately improve your tying skills, but I won’t kick you out of the class if you don’t do any. Throwing spitballs at the instructor is grounds for immediate expulsion, however. ;-)

e.      YOU will get to determine which flies are taught in the class. Once I have the list of students who have successfully registered, I will email a request that each person send me a list of at least 3 trout flies they’d like to learn. We’ll need to get the list from you ASAP, so we can make sure we have the appropriate materials to tie the flies. I’ll work to make sure that at least one fly from each person’s list makes it into our schedule, and hopefully more.
