Outdoor Photography Class
Location: Local
Dates: June
2 and 7, 2007
Contact: Randy Smith at rsimages@cox.net
We will be offering an outdoor photography class in June. This is a chance
to sharpen up your photo skills before the summer fishing season
gets under way. Don't miss a great learning opportunity, GSF member Randy
Smith, a remarkable photographer who has taught photo classes several times
in the past, will show us how to take GREAT pictures on Saturday, then
will show us how to make those photos look even BETTER using computer software
like Photoshop on Thursday.
You don't have the latest Hasselblad whiz-bang camera? You aren't
Ansel Adams? Heck, this class is for you - you will learn to do the
best you can with the equipment that you already have. I (Steve Piper)
will be using a small point and shoot digital camera that I carry
in the surf sometimes - I am hoping to make those 8 inch perch look
like gorgeous 24 inch lunkers in Photoshop.
This course will consist of two days of instruction. On Saturday,
June 2 we will meet at a local outdoor location (to be announced)
for a day of instruction and group photography. We will meet again
in the evening on June 7 for a follow-up computer class and informal critique.
Things we will discuss include:
Composition
Perspective
Using the light
Equipment options
Dealing with contrast
Picking your subjects
Using a computer to edit and enhance your images
Many other subjects
