La Paz, Baja Mexico— La Paz is a terrific fishery for a fly rod. There is nothing like watching a frenzied school of tuna or dorado racing around busting bait, and have one eat your fly with a jolt and take off on a sizzling, leaping run! The dates for this trip are October 4th-8th, 2008. This trip will be limited to six fly fishermen/women; however, you are welcome to bring non-fishing spouses/friends. We will be fishing in the Sea of Cortez for dorado (aka mahi mahi), yellowfin, roosterfish, jacks, and whatever else bites our flies.

The outfitter’s cost for the 5 day/4 night/3 days of fishing trip is $675/person double occupancy, two persons per boat; plus airfare. Non-fishing spouses/partners are $300. The cost includes La Paz airport shuttle, panga, skipper, ice, fish cleaning, fish freezing, shuttle to the boats, and associated taxes. The cost also includes breakfast, lunch, sodas, and water for fishers. We will be flying out of SD airport. We will be deciding on flights in the near future.

We will be working through Tailhunter International (tailhunter-international.com); you are encouraged to visit their website—you will see there are a number of activities for non-fishers.

A liability release waiver is required for participatin in this and all GSF organized trips.

Neither GSF nor Trout Unlimited chapter 920 are sponsors of trips, nor do either entity accept responsibility or liability of members or non members participating in any trip or event.
