20.25 pounds at Lake Hodges in 1985?
· the bass per angler ratio at Lake Barrett
in southeast San Diego averages more than 15 per day?
· that Ned Sewell of the SD Fly Fishers

Florida-strain bass were introduced into area lakes over 30 years ago,
and fishing has not been the same since. San Diego has a world class
freshwater bass fishery and yet few fly fishers have tried it.
Conway Bowman, the lake manager at Lake Hodges, owner of Bowman Bluewater,
and
rising fly fishing TV star, has fished largemouth bass plenty with a
fly rod, and is offering a one day clinic at Lake Hodges.
